This is truly shameful.
Politicians are notorious for saying just about anything to get elected. We’ve heard some real doozies over the years, and a recently resurfaced video captured President Barack Obama in one of the biggest lies he’s ever told.
The video of an Obama interview The New York Times columnist Bob Herbert was recorded before Obama won the presidency in 2008. In it, Obama discussed the importance of being president and what that entails.
Among other things, he said that any president must make many sacrifices, which include sleep, family life, vacations and leisure.
He told Herbert that when a candidate seeks that office, “You have to be prepared to give your life to it … You give me this office and in turn my fears, doubts, insecurities, foibles, need for sleep, family life, vacations, leisure is gone. I am giving myself to you.”
He went on to say, “You don’t make that decision unless you’re prepared to make that sacrifice.”
By the looks of it, he wasn’t too prepared to make any of those sacrifices. This president has vacationed more than any other on record. Ever.
