DONALD-TRUMP

Presidential hopeful Donald Trump said Friday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” show he would “absolutely” hire rival Ben Carson as part of his administration, although he didn’t say where in his administration Carson might end up.

Trump described the retired neurosurgeon as a nice man and he also said he thought Carson is qualified to be the president because he’s running and if he wins that means he’s qualified because “that’s the way the system works.”

However, Trump did say that while Carson may be qualified to run the country he wouldn’t “be able to do the job I’m going to do.”

Trump also doubted Carson’s abilities as a tough negotiator.

“I would say it’s not his wheelhouse, but that I don’t know,” Trump said.

However, Trump saw potential in Carson and said that in “certain elements of the administration, I think he’d be very good.”

Trump and Carson have seen their numbers rise in the polls while establishment GOP candidates seem to be struggling just to stay in the race. Trump said polling numbers for both men have been “amazing” and when you add the numbers together, “in some cases you’re up to 55 to 60 percent.
