Texans were rocked over the weekend after the progressive left’s War on Cops hit home in Houston.
While he was simply pumping gas in his patrol car, Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy Darren Goforth was approached from behind and executed by a thug with a gun.
The murderous criminal was arrested the next day, and now faces capital murder charges for assassinating the law enforcement officer.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott addressed the issue via Twitter on Sunday, posting a link to an article about the shooting while noting “Cops lives matter in Texas.”
According to Twitchy, Abbott’s tweet was well-received by a majority of Texans, with many retweeting his message and agreeing with the sentiment that cops’ lives matter.
One woman tweeted, “Actions have consequences…He should pay for this horrendous crime!”
Another person pleaded with Abbott to ensure that justice is done on behalf of the murdered deputy.
Unfortunately, some members of the Black Lives Matter movement were quite pleased to score a victory in their war against the police and society in general.
These thugs and punks who think their purported grievances give them license to act as judge, jury and executioner against the cops are woefully wrong in their assumptions.
