Just over two years ago, in August, 2013, American human rights activist and humanitarian Kayla Mueller was captured by the Islamic State group as she was leaving a Doctors Without Borders hospital in Aleppo, Syria.
Fox News’ Catherin Herridge reported via anonymous military sources that President Barack Obama’s White House knew where Mueller and two other hostages were as early as May, 2014 — yet Obama waited seven weeks before he launched a rescue mission.
By then, it was too late.
According to a young Yazidi sex slave who had also been captured by Islamic State group militants, Mueller was not only forced to convert to Islam, but she was repeatedly raped and — if that wasn’t horrible enough — her captors also tortured her by ripping out her fingernails.
“She was afraid and she didn’t resist as he would beat her,” said Muna, the 16-year-old Yazidi girl. “I saw him rape her three or four times and they told us that anybody who runs away, including Kayla, would be killed.”
Mueller would eventually be forced to become the wife of the Islamic State group leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Mueller was taken to his house in Raqqa and forced to live with his other wives, who were reportedly as bad as or worse than al-Baghdadi when it came to beatings…
