Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush was apparently looking for every advantage he could get in the second Republican presidential debate.
While the GOP candidates lined up for a pre-debate photo opportunity for journalists, the 6’3″ Bush was seen arching up on his tiptoes multiple times, causing him to physically tower even more over his rival candidates, and most particularly Donald Trump to his immediate right.
Bush was clearly trying to outdo his performance in the first Republican debate in August, which was widely panned. The former frontrunner, who is now coming in third in polling at 9 percent (behind Trump at 27 and Carson at 24 percent) came out swinging at Donald Trump. Bush hit the billionaire candidate on his support for Democrats in the past, trying to set up a gambling casino in Florida, as well as trying to force The Donald to apologize to the governor’s wife, Columba.
Trump for the most part did not take the bait. Regarding giving to Democrat candidates in the past, particularly former New York Senator Hillary Clinton, Trump said: “I was a businessman, I got along with Clinton, I got along with everybody. That was my job, to get along with people”…
