Muslim groups across the United States have managed to impose Shariah law in many different ways, some of which have included forcing major retailers to carry Halal meat — meat permissible for Muslims to consume.
On Thursday, the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida and the Council on American-Islamic Relationsteamed up to file a lawsuit on the behalf of four Muslim prisoners in the Miami-Dade corrections system because they were denied Halal food after a change was made to the prison menu — a change, according to correctional officers, that was signed off on by an imam.
The federal lawsuit, which will hurt the community in terms of the money required to defend against it, was filed in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
If they should actually win the lawsuit, aside from the outrageous amount of money spent, it will only strengthen those who aim to push the barbaric principles of Shariah law on a majority-Christian nation.
