No wonder they’re trying to keep this quiet.
In a WND post on Sunday, Chuck Norris pointed out four areas of major concern that the mainstream media continues to overlook about Pope Francis and the notion that he is the most liberal pope the Catholic church has ever seen.
In defense of religious freedom, Norris pointed out how the pope’s speech at the White House last Wednesday referenced Christians building a society that is “tolerant and inclusive, to safeguarding the rights of individuals and communities, and to rejecting every form of unjust discrimination… With countless other people of good will, they are likewise concerned that efforts to build a just and wisely ordered society respect their deepest concerns and their right to religious liberty.”
Doubtless this was a veiled reference to Obama’s war against Catholic charities that respect life in the womb and numerous Christian bakers and florists who have been persecuted for simply wanting to avoid providing goods for acts they believe are sinful.
Second, Norris noted the pope’s comments on religious extremism. The pope said many atrocities are “committed even in the name of God and of religion… A delicate balance is required to combat violence… while also safeguarding religious freedom, intellectual freedom and individual freedoms.”
Third, Norris points out the pope addressed issues of marriage and family, emphasizing the importance of fighting for both and stating that marriage is a sacrament “that calls a man and a woman to love each other in the manner of God’s covenant.”
Finally, Norris said in the pope’s address to Congress, he tackled abortion, citing the Golden Rule which “reminds us of our responsibility to protect and defend human life at every stage of its development.”
