Mohammad-Hoax-850x478

This story gets uglier by the day.

When the news broke that a 14-year-old Muslim student had been arrested on bomb charges for bringing what many initially reported to be a homemade clock to his ninth-grade class, a majority of Americans thought it was silly.

But, when pictures of the “clock” emerged and Ahmed Mohamed’s father’s Muslim apologist history was revealed, the situation took a very serious turn and raised questions about the motives behind the young man’s menacing “invention.”

Even so, in the wake of the news, President Barack Obama, NASA, MIT, Facebook and countless others came to Mohamed’s defense, which sparked an influx in cash, scholarships and gifts set aside for the teen.

But, according to former New Jersey Superior Court Judge Andrew Napolitano, this isn’t looking good for Mohamed’s parents.

“If the parents were involved in the hoax, now you now have a fraud going on because money has been collected on false pretenses,” Judge Napolitano said.

Mohamed’s father, Mohamed El-Hassan Mohamed, is well known as a Muslim apologist, and many have speculated that he and his wife may have been in on the hoax in an effort to pull the racial profiling card in order to further his Islamic agenda. What do you think? Was this all a set-up to gain sympathy and fame?
