As Ahmed Mohamed’s fame continues to grow, so does the pile of evidence suggesting that this whole “clock” incident was actually planned, rather than a simple accident.
The Daily Beast did an interview with Ahmed and his family in an attempt to “understand” what happened and get closer to them. However, the interview provided even more reasons to doubt Ahmed’s claim that this was some sort of misunderstanding.
The Daily Beast interviewed Eyman, Ahmed’s sister, in an attempt to further understand the family. Eyman claimed that she too was a “victim” of the school district.
“I got suspended from school for three days from this stupid same district, from this girl saying I wanted to blow up the school, something I had nothing to do with,” she claimed.
“I got suspended and I didn’t do anything about it and so when I heard about Ahmed, I was so mad because it happened to me and I didn’t get to stand up, so I’m making sure he’s standing up because it’s not right. So I’m not jealous, I’m kinda like — it’s like he’s standing for me,” she continued.
Apparently Ahmed’s family has a history with explosive controversies.
Yet despite knowing his sister’s history, and the current terrorist threat we all face, Ahmed thought it would be cool to walk into a school with a suitcase full of wires and a digital display.
Uh huh.
