Just imagine presidential candidate [score]Bernie Sanders[/score] and Rev. Al Sharpton in the same room together. While you may grimace in disgust — it actually happened.
According to the U.K. Daily Mail, that’s the Vermont senator’s plan to harness the black vote — win over African-American community leaders. Rev. Sharpton would be the first target on Sanders’ list, as he the most well known, most influential race-bait … sorry, spokesperson for the “racial justice.”
“We have a lot of support within the African-American community, but I think most importantly, I think the reason we’ll do well is our views on criminal justice in this current country and that is, we have a broken criminal justice system,” Sanders said right after a meeting with Al Sharpton on Wednesday morning.
Well, of course everything is “broken” in our capitalistic society when you believe, in your heart of hearts, that socialism would make America a better place.
“When a police officer breaks the law, like any other public official, that officer must he held accountable,” Sanders added, referring to shootings that have spurred the Black Lives Matter movement.
On “The View” later the same day, Sanders stated that he has also added former NAACP President Ben Jealous to his support roster.
Jealous promised to promote Sanders to other black leaders in the South in advance of the Democrat primary on Feb. 27, which is held one week after the GOP primary.
“Don’t tell me we do not need to invest heavily in the African-American community and create decent paying jobs,” Sanders said, referring back to his talking point on the unemployment of black youth.
Under a President Sanders and his socialist policies, the black community will only become more impoverished and unemployed as the government continues its excessive involvement in the lives of all Americans.
