After losing to McConnell by roughly 25 points, Bevin was left for dead by the GOP Establishment — or so they thought. But what the Establishment did not count on was the fight and steeliness of Matt Bevin. In what is truly an amazing political comeback, conservative Matt Bevin has defied the odds — and the best efforts of Team McConnell to “crush” him again — to win the Republican Nomination for Governor of Kentucky. Make no mistake about it — this is a huge WIN for both Kentucky voters AND for conservatives nationwide. It’s also a big blow to the Establishment, who despise conservatives like Matt Bevin. It’s true, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell — Kentucky’s senior senator — has endorsed Bevin. But actions speak louder than words.
