It’s time for America to stop these vile bigots.
It’s no secret that liberals will go to any length to disgrace themselves and those who disagree with them. However, this might be a new all-time low: manipulating Google results to tie GOP presidential front-runner Dr. Ben Carson to pedophilia.
According to Breitbart, Wikipedia users managed to use a quote from Carson about the North American Man-Boy Love Association from 2013 and make sure it showed up under his Wikipedia page in search results.
“Marriage is between a man and a woman. No group, be they gays, be they NAMBLA, be they people who believe in bestiality, it doesn’t matter what they are. They don’t get to change the definition,” Carson said in the 2013 appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity.”
Carson, whose support among women has been particularly strong, later apologized for the comment linking gay marriage with NAMBLA, one of the few open and active pedophile-rights groups.
However, because of its strategic placement within his Wikipedia article, it shows up in search results with little to no context, leading some to perhaps link Carson with supporting the group.
This, for instance, is what you would have gotten if you’d searched Carson’s name as of Tuesday:
“Looks like the trolls are out in force,” Carson campaign Communications Director Doug Watts told Breitbart.
“We’ve complained to Google and filled out requests to take it down that have been ignored,” Watts said.
However, as of Thursday morning, the NAMBLA reference was — at least temporarily — not showing as a high-relevance link.
If this had been done against Barack Obama or Eric Holder, of course, Al Sharpton would be hollering like a stuck hippopotamus about the racism involved. If it had been done to Hillary Clinton, there would no doubt be cries of sexism. If it were Bernie Sanders, the culprit would be corporate interests.
But because it’s Dr. Ben Carson, there’s media silence. Just how it always is.
