July 7, 2015  – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Field Operations (OFO) officers working at Orlando International Airport arrested a 53-year-old man with an outstanding warrant issued for failure to comply with sexual offender guidelines last Thursday.

The man, a U.S. citizen, was arriving on a flight from Colombia.CBP officers arrested the individual and turned him over to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

The man has multiple prior arrests for providing obscene material to a minor, indecent exposure, sexual assault and prostitution

.“We are proud of our CBP officers for working so well with state and local law enforcement partners to bring wanted fugitives to justice,” said Orlando International Airport Port Director Eduardo Oliveros.

“CBP remains vigilant in intercepting sex offenders who try to circumvent the laws and in protecting the American public from dangerous people.

”CBP conducts inspection operations and intercepts currency, weapons, prohibited agriculture products or other illicit items, and on average arrests 22 wanted persons a day at U. S. Ports of entry nationwide.

While welcoming and processing all legitimate travelers and trade into this country, CBP officers enforce a host of U.S. laws to keep terrorists and other dangerous persons such as fugitives out of our neighborhoods.
