A man who attempted to rob a teenager at knifepoint ended up being struck with a tire iron and arrested, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office…

According to the teen, he had just dropped off his mother at the gas station and was waiting outside while she got her check. He was sitting in the driver’s seat of his mother’s 2003 Chevrolet Impala when a man, later identified as 32-year-old Luther Dunn, approached him with a knife and said “give me some gas money.”

The teen refused and, after a brief verbal altercation, left the car to get his mother from the store.

When the two walked out, Dunn again approached the boy, this time with his shirt off, a report said.
